ABOUT US

Mike Clark is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in the high tech industry having held a broad range of technical and senior management positions.  He advanced his technical career at Harris Corporation developing system software and associated products ranging from mainframes to the Intel architecture. He then joined Compaq Computer in the early stages assuming a lead role as Director of Systems Engineering as well as actively participating on the senior executive corporate strategy team.  He was intimately involved in in the development of the first Intel 386 product working with all the major industry vendors and suppliers.  Mike was a strong customer advocate participating in numerous customer executive briefings and countless key account visits while managing successful development efforts on key products such as the first Compaq server product.  Mike’s roles included VP Systems Engineering and VP Industry Standard Server High Availability in the product division and VP Systems Marketing, VP Technical Sales Support, VP Enterprise Consulting, and VP Sales ($4.5B quota) in the North America division.   Mike played a key role in evolving the product oriented business into a solutions offering with higher margins and customer advocacy.  He also managed and maintained major executive and strategic partner relationships including Microsoft, IBM and well over key decision makers at well over 100  key accounts.  After Compaq, Mike joined several other former Compaq executives as VP Sales and Service at RLX Technologies, a new start-up company to develop and market the first server blade products ($60M funding at launch).  At RLX he recruited, hired and trained the first sales and customer service teams.   After RLX, Mike formed GTM Group providing consulting, business development and interim management services to a variety of customers ranging from start-ups to enterprise.
